Every year, many students aspire to attend higher studies in the UK. Every year, more and more students from other countries pursue their education in the United Kingdom. Because there are many possibilities to advance one's life and career in the United Kingdom, the United Kingdom is an ideal location for pursuing higher education. In this article, we will discuss the post-study work opportunities in the UK.

What is Graduate Route?

With the UK's Graduate Route, international students can apply to stay in the UK after they graduate and work or look for work. International students who finish a bachelor's or master's degree in the UK can apply to stay for up to two years after they graduate. Graduates with a Ph.D. can ask to stay for up to three years.

This is an excellent chance for international students who want to work in the UK after graduation.

Benefits of Graduate Route

Since the Graduate Route is not sponsored, you can use the time after graduation to work or look for work, no matter how skilled. You will be free to work as a freelancer, do an internship, or get work experience in the UK.

Through the Graduate Route, there is no minimum salary requirement and no limit on how many international students can stay in the UK. Once you find an excellent job in the UK, you'll be able to switch to a skilled work route and remain in the country after two or three years.

Post-Study Work Visa

The UK post-study work visa allows international students to stay in the UK to search for work for two years after completing their graduate studies.

The new visa rules will come into effect from September/autumn 2020. During the first year after graduation, PSW visa holders can work in any job until they find work to move towards a general work visa.

This rule of staying in the UK after graduation makes the UK the top choice for international students. International students looking for other European countries will again seek to study in the UK.

Who can get a post-study work visa in the UK?

From September 2020, any international student with a Tier-4 visa enrolled in a recognized UK college or university will be able to stay back after graduation.

New immigration rules, effective September 2020, allow international students to stay in the UK for two years following graduation.

Can students work in the UK after they finish university?

International students can work in the UK after graduation under new visa regulations. Bachelor's, master's, and Ph.D. grads must follow this guideline. International students can stay at UK universities for two years starting in September 2020.
